Hotel Minerva offers clifftop luxury with panoramic sea views, a sun-drenched rooftop pool and authentic Italian dining - all with a warm welcome & excellent service.
The 4-star Hotel Minerva is a long-standing Topflight favourite, set sympathetically into the cliffside above the pretty fishing village of Marina Grande, with sweeping views across the Bay of Naples and out to Mount Vesuvius beyond. Run by the Acompora family, who maintain a wonderful tradition of warm Italian hospitality, you'll feel looked after from the moment you arrive. There is a downhill walk to the centre of Sorrento, where you can stroll through narrow cobbled streets lined with shops, cafés and restaurants and enjoy the heady scent of lemons in the air.
Decorated in traditional Mediterranean style with a colourful, modern twist, the hotel's 63 guest rooms are bright and spacious, many with their own balcony and incredible sea views. The rooftop swimming pool is a wonderful spot to bask in the sunshine and take in the phenomenal views at your leisure.
When it comes to dining, the Minerva's restaurant serves delicious dishes crafted from the finest local ingredients, blending the flavours of tradition with a contemporary touch. In the summer months, dinner is served al fresco on the terrace, with that unforgettable coastline as your backdrop.
Afterwards, retire to the bar for a cocktail as the sun sets over the bay, or take the gentle stroll into the centre of town to soak up the atmosphere of a wonderful Italian summer's evening.
This property is offered on a Bed & Breakfast basis.
Set sympathetically into the cliffside, overlooking the Bay of Naples below, the Hotel Minerva is positioned to make the very most of the spectacular views.
It is positioned a 10 minute walk downhill to the centre of Sorrento, where you can stroll through narrow cobbled streets lined with shops, cafés and restaurants and enjoy the heady scent of lemons in the air.
As one of Topflight’s longest-serving resort managers, Lindsey has lived in Sorrento for 38 years and knows the surrounding region like the back of her hand. Speaking of Sorrento she says "the whole area has so much culture, history, beauty, friendly locals and of course 9 months of sunshine, so what’s not to love!" My name is Lindsey and I am your Resort Manager in Sorrento. I have worked for Topflight for over 20 years as the Country manager for Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast during the summer and on the ski slopes during the winter. I have lived in Italy for many years and have extensive knowledge of the people, traditions and culture since marrying an Italian and raising my family in this beautiful country. I am really looking forward to giving a warm welcome to all Topflight guests arriving in Sorrento and Amalfi this season.
Lorna couldn’t miss developing a love for all things Italian. Her Italian mum ensured that during childhood she was brought up enjoying the best of Italian food alongside frequent visits to her mother’s homeland. She has 33 years experience as a rep with over 20 of these spent in Sorrento, her home now. Lorna says "all of the area is spectacular so either Capri or Amalfi excursions for sightseeing and Pompeii or Herculaneum for a little bit of history is a must."
Wendy first came to Sorrento on holiday years ago where she fell in love and later was married in a tiny church overlooking the beautiful Bay of Naples "I love everything about the Neapolitan way of life: The local food, regional wines, ancient traditions, myths, legends and vibrant atmosphere. Above all, the Neapolitan philosophy... 'Carpe Diem'..."
My name is Lynsey and I have huge passion for both winter and summer sports, having worked for Topflight for over 10 years in Austria, France, Andorra and Italy. As an avid skier and snowboarder, you'll find me making the most of slopes during the winter months and in the summer I swap my skis for sandals to enjoy all that Lake Garda has to offer. I couldn’t possibly choose which season I prefer, I’ve skied since I was 5 years old and I can never get enough but there’s also something really magical about the spending the summer on Lake Garda.
