Warm rooms, proper Austrian cooking and a welcome that makes you feel like a regular from the moment you arrive. Hotel Dahoam is what a great ski hotel is supposed to feel like.
There's something immediately right about Hotel Dahoam. The name says it all — "Dahoam" means at home in Tyrolean dialect — and from the moment you arrive, that's exactly how it feels. Warm, personal and full of genuine Austrian hospitality, this is the kind of hotel that reminds you why you chose Austria in the first place.
Set on a sunny plateau on the edge of Westendorf with sweeping views over the Brixen Valley, Hotel Dahoam is quietly positioned away from the bustle of the village centre — yet the slopes, the shops and the après-ski are all within easy reach. The village centre is a short walk away, and the main gondola connecting you to the vast SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental ski area is just minutes from the hotel.
The hotel itself is traditional, comfortable and well-run. Rooms are cosy and well-appointed, the restaurant serves hearty Austrian home cooking that fuels long days on the mountain, and the welcoming bar is the perfect place to wind down with a cold beer and good company after a day on the slopes. There's also a sauna to ease tired legs — because after a day in the SkiWelt, you'll be glad of it.
And what a ski area it is. The SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental is one of the largest interconnected ski areas in the Alps, with access to Kitzbühel also available via the Ki-West gondola. Westendorf itself is widely regarded as one of the most charming and family-friendly resorts in the Austrian Tyrol — quiet, beautiful and brilliantly positioned for some of the best skiing in the Alps.
Hotel Dahoam is not the flashiest hotel on the mountain. It's something better — a place that feels genuinely welcoming, consistently delivers and sends guests home already planning their return.
This property is offered on a Half Board basis.

Hi! I’m Ellen and I’m really looking forward to welcoming you to Austria. I’m from a farm in county Kildare and I’ve been skiing since I was small. I have skied in lots of different places but Austria has always been my favourite. I’m here to help in any way, whether it’s recommending the best runs or finding a lively après ski spot. I can’t wait to share my love for the mountains and ensure you have an unforgettable holiday!
My name is Lynsey and I have huge passion for both winter and summer sports, having worked for Topflight for over 10 years in Austria, France, Andorra and Italy. As an avid skier and snowboarder, you'll find me making the most of slopes during the winter months and in the summer I swap my skis for sandals to enjoy all that Lake Garda has to offer. I couldn’t possibly choose which season I prefer, I’ve skied since I was 5 years old and I can never get enough but there’s also something really magical about the spending the summer on Lake Garda.
