Your Holiday Itinerary
Day1Fly from Dublin to Verona
You will be met at the airport in Verona this evening by Topflight’s Resort Manager. You will take a journey, via air-conditioned coach, to the lovely Hotel Majestic Palace, where you will stay for 7 nights on a half board basis.
Day2At Your Leisure
You have the day to fully relax and perhaps make use of the wonderful facilities of your hotel. In a beautiful setting in the midst of a picturesque olive grove and with sweeping views of the lake, the Majestic Palace offers high standards of service and fantastic leisure facilities.
4 swimming pools, a tennis court, a gym, a playground, mini-golf and a volleyball court ensure that no matter what your age, you’ll be far from bored here. The outdoor pools are surrounded by sun loungers and parasols providing the perfect resting spot for guests who just love to chill out in the sunshine.
Day3Lake Garda Tour
Today you will enjoy a fascinating tour around Italy’s largest lake. The day will start with you being picked up by bus from your resort where your guide will tell you all about the history and culture of this wonderful area. The first scheduled stop of the day will be at Garda.
From here, you will board a boat to take a trip on the lake. The only way to take in this area’s true beauty is from the lake itself and this short trip to the beautiful Sirmione, an elegant little lakeside town, is the perfect journey. Upon approach, you will see the town’s peninsula, the ancient Roman ruins "Grotte di Catullo" and its castle. Enjoy a walk in the lively centre of Sirmione, among beautiful shops, restaurants and renowned ice cream parlours. You will have time here to explore and perhaps take some time to enjoy some lunch or an aperitivo.
Afterwards, meet with your guide once again and continue on your journey on the bus towards Salo, where you will be given some free time to explore the quaint and historic town.
Once again, you will return to the bus and the driver will bring you back to your resort, in time to freshen up for your evening meal.
Day4-5At Your Leisure
If today, you feel like venturing out to discover the beautiful Malcesine, you’re in for a treat. Follow the romantic trail of narrow cobbled streets that meander their way through the town leading to a cute pebble beach. The harbour with its colourful boats bobbing by its walls, is surrounded by restaurants, cafés and shops allowing guests to sample a taste of ’la dolce vita’ as they sit, relax and people watch over a drink or two.
Malcesine lends itself to a slower pace of life, where sauntering through the beautiful medieval town and relaxing by the waters edge is very much the order of the day.
Day6Venice
This morning, after breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel to enjoy a scenic coach ride to Venice, where you will take a guided visit of the Floating City. The tour includes a private motorboat ride along the Giudecca Canal, taking in the sights, then continues on foot to the Rialto Bridge, a marvellous feat of engineering.
You will have free time for lunch and will have no problem finding a tasty spot to dine upon some great Venetian fare. You will also have time to wander the boutiques and quaint shops that line the narrow, labyrinthine back streets of this enchanting city. Should you wish to do more, a gondola ride or sightseeing cruise on the lagoon are payable locally. Return to the coach on private motorboat, passing St. George’s Island, home to one of the architectural glories of Venice, the majestic Church of San Giorgio Maggiore. Your coach will return you to your hotel in the evening time.
Day7At Your Leisure
Choose to relax on Lake Garda's beautiful shores and soak up its majestic scenery or decided to explore a bit more. The day is yours to take at your own pace.
Day8Return home
This morning, you will check out after breakfast and be transferred to the airport to catch your return flight.

Location
From the Hotel Majestic Palace, it is a 20 minute walk down a small hill to get to the centre of Malcesine and 25 minutes from the lake. A convenient bus service runs frequently, right from the hotel to the resort centre, for a small local charge.

Lynsey Mackay
My name is Lynsey and I have huge passion for both winter and summer sports, having worked for Topflight for over 10 years in Austria, France, Andorra and Italy. As an avid skier and snowboarder, you'll find me making the most of slopes during the winter months in Andorra and in the summer I swap my skis for sandals to enjoy all that Lake Garda has to offer. I couldn’t possibly choose which season I prefer, I’ve skied since I was 5 years old and I can never get enough but there’s also something really magical about the spending the summer on Lake Garda.
