When it comes to world-class skiing, nothing beats the Dolomites – and Val di Fassa sits right at the centre of 1,200 km of quick lifts, smooth pistes and unforgettable panoramas.
Val di Fassa sits at the heart of the Dolomiti Superski area, one of the largest linked ski regions in the world, with around 1,200 km of prepared pistes on a single pass. With this one lift pass you unlock a huge network of runs across multiple valleys, including the famous Sellaronda circuit. From here it is easy to spend one day exploring the local slopes, then the next skiing into neighbouring areas like Val Gardena, Alta Badia or Arabba, all without taking your skis off.
Within Val di Fassa itself, Canazei and Campitello are your launch pads into this bigger playground. Both villages have fast gondolas that carry you straight to the high-level slopes of Belvedere and Col Rodella, giving you instant access to long reds, wide cruising runs and the Sellaronda in both directions. Canazei has a livelier feel with more après-ski, bars and shops, while Campitello is slightly quieter but still very convenient, with a compact centre and everything close at hand. Ski schools, rental shops and well-organised lift stations make both resorts an easy choice for mixed groups who want simple logistics and big-area skiing.
A little further down the valley, Vigo di Fassa offers a more traditional atmosphere with beautiful views and quick access to the Catinaccio area. Here you find scenic tree-lined runs, relaxed mountain huts and a gentler pace that works well for families, beginners and anyone who prefers quieter slopes. Vigo is also well connected by ski bus to the rest of the valley, so you can enjoy its authentic village feel while still dipping into the bigger circuits from Canazei or Campitello on days when you want to clock up more kilometres.
Together, these three bases give you a lot of flexibility: lively or laid back, big-mileage days on the Sellaronda or relaxed cruising closer to home, all under the umbrella of the Dolomiti Superski pass.
