Bad Kleinkirchheim, on the edge of the stunning Nock Mountain National Park, offers a relaxed and less busy atmosphere compared to its nearby counterparts. So, if a laid back, less crowded vibe is your thing, where off-slope activities are just as important as the epic ski opportunities, then look no further than this little gem.
As a town originally noted for its agriculture, Bad Kleinkirchheim has become just as well known for its fantastic ski opportunities in more recent years. Its sunny position, with access to both south and north facing slopes, means that it is a treat for skiers who can enjoy sunshine skiing throughout the day. The long, wide slopes are perfect for beginners and for those who enjoy some cruisey runs from the heights, all the way back into the town. The famed Olympic gold-winning downhill skier Franz Klammer, hails from Bad Kleinkirchheim. A highly celebrated character, he is still active on the slopes around BKK, so keep your eyes peeled!
With its roots in farming, it’s no surprise that the resort's hotels and restaurants pay special attention to offering great quality food, using the freshest ingredients, from local suppliers wherever possible. This results in some really super culinary offerings. The care and attention that goes into the food here can be tasted and enjoyed by every visitor to the resort.
When you visit the resort of Bad Kleinkirchheim, you will be offered the tourist board’s Sonnenschein Card. This gives visitors access to a range of fantastic non-ski activities in the resort so that you can have as much fun off the slopes as on. Weekly planned activities include hiking trails, ice skating, snow shoeing, tobogganing and torch-lit walks, to name but a few.
In addition to all these amazing resort features, one of our favourites is that you can easily walk to the ski lift from each of our featured hotels, so there is no need for any transportation each morning. Getting on and off the super slopes on offer in this area, is just as easy as can be.

Welcome to Austria, my name is Lindsey and I am originally from Scotland but our home has been in Austria for many years now.I started to ski as soon as I could walk in the Highlands of Scotland, however in search of fairer weather skiing, I came to Austria when I was 18. My love of skiing in winter and cycling in summer means that I know Austria pretty well and I want you to love it just as much as I do. Our excellent team is here to ensure you enjoy your well earned ski holiday, so please let them know if you have any questions. Our aim is that you return home happy, so let us deal with anything that gets in the way of that, when you are in resort. Your Resort Managers are here to help, so pop along and see them, you never know what tidbit of information you might learn. Suitable for all abilities. Classes for children run for 3 hours. The hours are generally, Sunday from 12:45-15:45 and Monday-Thursday from 09:45-12:45.
Classes for Adults run for 2.5 hours. The hours are generally, Sunday from 13:00-15:30 and Monday - Thursday from 10:00-12:30. Please note: Ski Lessons are solely for those wishing to learn to ski or improve their ski technique, they are unsuitable for anyone wishing to snowboard. There are no lessons on the 1st January. Adult classes start 15 minutes later than ski school for children and finish 15 minutes earlier, therefore making it very convenient for families if the adults in the group and the children are all partaking in ski school.Prices From €255
