Right beside the lake and opposite Malcesine's finest beach, the PrimaLuna blends bold design, a swimming pool terrace and superb breakfasts into a memorable stay.
The Ambienthotel PrimaLuna enjoys a truly enviable position directly on the shores of Lake Garda at Malcesine, one of the loveliest towns on the lake's eastern shore. A contemporary design hotel set opposite Malcesine's finest beach, it makes the most of its waterside setting, with sweeping views over the lake from almost every corner of the building and the gentle sound of the water never far away.
The hotel is known for its distinctive, design-led style, where natural materials and original, characterful furnishings create interiors with real personality. The bedrooms are bright and comfortable, equipped with air conditioning, satellite television, a minibar and safe, and most open onto a balcony or terrace with views over the lake, while a number of garden rooms enjoy direct access to the shore.
Outside, a sun terrace with a swimming pool and an outdoor hydromassage looks out across the water, with a children's pool for younger guests and a relaxed beach bar close by. There is also a well-equipped gym with lake views, the perfect place to keep up a routine while enjoying one of the finest outlooks on the lake.
Dining is a highlight, with a lakeside restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine beside the water and a generous breakfast buffet to begin the day, complete with homemade cakes, yogurts, jams and fresh seasonal fruit. Drinks on the terrace as the sun sets over the lake are a memorable way to round off the day.
Malcesine itself is widely regarded as one of Lake Garda's most beautiful towns, its romantic medieval centre gathered beneath the lakeside Scaliger Castle. The old town and castle lie just a few minutes' walk away along the quiet lakeside path, while the famous rotating cable car climbs from the town to the heights of Monte Baldo, rewarding visitors with breathtaking views across the lake and mountains.

Hello, I'm Malcolm. This will be my 4th summer season at Lake Garda for Topflight. I originally hail from the west coast of Scotland and spend my winters in France. I love anything and everything outdoorsy, but especially cycling and skiing! There's nothing quite like sharing a pizza and a few drinks after a sunny day on the lake! I am here to ensure you have a fantastic time with on hoilday with us. Whether you are looking for some local info on the best spots to visit or a well earned Aperol Spritz at the end of the day, I'll be on hand to deal with any queries or questions you may have during your stay.
Lynsey Mackay
My name is Lynsey and I have huge passion for both winter and summer sports, having worked for Topflight for over 10 years in Austria, France, Andorra and Italy. As an avid skier and snowboarder, you'll find me making the most of slopes during the winter months and in the summer I swap my skis for sandals to enjoy all that Lake Garda has to offer. I couldn’t possibly choose which season I prefer, I’ve skied since I was 5 years old and I can never get enough but there’s also something really magical about the spending the summer on Lake Garda.

Born and raised in the area of Franciacorta, I grew up surrounded by the glorious landscapes and vineyards, for which the area is well-known. Other than harvesting grapes for the production of my family’s own wine, some of my fondest childhood memories come from spending time at Lake Garda. Whether it’s cycling, climbing or windsurfing, I just can’t get enough of the activities around Lake Garda. At the end of the day, you’ll always find me in a lakeside café, admiring the views and sipping an Aperol Spritz in the sunshine. That to me, is paradise.
