The United Arab Emirates consists of 7 Emirates, which includes both Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Local InformationThe official language is Arabic, although English is spoken throughout all the Emirates. The local currency is the Dirham and is pegged against the US dollar. The weather in the UAE is hot and humid in the summer months, May to August, with daytime temperatures around 40C, while the winter months, December to February, boast warm daytime temperatures averaging 25C.

Tourism to UAE, mainly Dubai and Abu Dhabi, is a major industry and the continued investment and innovative developments are continuing to entice visitors back year after year. Golf is a major attraction with some of the finest courses including the Emirates Golf Club, Earth Course, Arabian Ranches, The Montgomerie, Dubai Creek, Saadayit Beach Golf Club and Yas Links to mention just a few.

RamadanFor over 1 billion people throughout the world, Ramadan is a very special time of the year. It is the 9th month of the Islamic calendar and during this month, people of the Muslim faith fast from dawn to dusk every day. Thus Ramadan begins on a different day each year.
