Day1Arrival in Verbania

On arrival at Milan Malpensa Airport, you'll be met by your Topflight Tour Manager before travelling by private coach to the elegant lakeside town of Verbania. After checking into the charming Hotel Belvedere San Gottardo, your home for the next seven nights, you'll have time to settle in and take in your beautiful surroundings.

Later, join your Tour Manager for a leisurely orientation walk along Verbania's lakeside promenade, where you'll discover cafés, shops and wonderful views across Lake Maggiore. This evening, enjoy your first dinner together at the hotel.

Day2Lake Maggiore & the Borromean Islands

After breakfast, board your boat for a wonderful excursion across Lake Maggiore to visit two of its most celebrated islands. Your first stop is the magnificent Isola Bella, where you'll enjoy a guided visit of its grand Baroque palace and beautifully landscaped gardens.

Continue to Isola dei Pescatori, the only permanently inhabited island in the archipelago. Wander its charming narrow streets, browse the local shops and enjoy lunch at your leisure before returning to Verbania by boat during the afternoon.

Day3Switzerland & the Centovalli Railway

Today's excursion takes you into neighbouring Switzerland. Travel by coach to Domodossola before boarding the famous Centovalli Railway, one of Europe's most scenic train journeys. Sit back and admire spectacular mountain scenery, deep valleys, waterfalls and picturesque villages as the train winds its way towards Locarno.

On arrival, you'll have free time to stroll around this elegant Swiss lakeside town before returning by coach to Verbania in the late afternoon.

After visiting the island, enjoy free time to wander the cobbled streets of Orta San Giulio, browse artisan shops or enjoy lunch overlooking the lake before returning to Verbania later in the afternoon.

Day6Day at Leisure

Day8Return Home
