The staggering beauty of Lake Garda meets the romance of Verona and mystique of Venice with this tour of the many sides that Italy has to offer.
Today you will depart on a direct flight to Verona airport. There, Topflight's Resort Manager will meet you and welcome you to Italy. You will then take a coach transfer to your hotel in Sirmione, the Hotel du Parc.
Today, you can explore the resort of Sirmione, where you will be based for the duration of your stay. A panoramic walk along the shore leads past a number of bathing beaches to the tip of the peninsula where you will find the preserved ruins of an old Roman palace, the Grottos of Catullo. It is a pleasant walk up to the top level where you will be rewarded with superb views.
At night you can unwind at a choice of bars and nightclubs, but this resort offers many more relaxing activities to enjoy, especially in its thermal pools which are said to ease a myriad of aches and pains as well as relieving stress and tension.
The coach will pick you up from your hotel for a guided coach and boat tour around Lake Garda. Throughout this scenic trip, you will enjoy lunch in one of the beautiful lake towns that you will visit along the way.
Your first stop is Lazise, an idyllic town that brims with a sense of authenticity and old-world Italian charm. Then, it’s on to Malcesine, home to the magnificent Scaligero Castle. Next stop, Riva, the largest town on the lake. An enjoyable boat trip is included from Riva to Limone, a vibrant spot with a spectacular waterfront and picturesque harbour. Later, you will be transferred back to your hotel by coach.
You have another day to spend as you please, so why not explore Sirmione a little further? It is one of the most picturesque resorts on Lake Garda, with its traffic-free streets, chic pavement cafés and elegant shops, all dominated by the impressive Scaligeri Castle at the entrance to the medieval town.
If you are thirsty for more activities, you can speak to your Resort Manager who will be happy to help organise excursions or simply recommend the best place to enjoy a delicious evening meal or a couple of glasses of Italian wine.
This morning, you will be picked up from your hotel to enjoy a scenic coach ride to Venice, where you will take a guided visit of the Floating City, with an official city tour guide. The tour includes a boat ride along the Giudecca Canal, taking in the sights, then continues on foot to the Rialto Bridge, a marvellous feat of engineering.
You will have free time for lunch, and will have no problem finding a tasty spot to dine upon some great Venetian fare. You will also have time to wander the boutiques and quaint restaurants that line the narrow, labyrinthine back streets of this enchanting city. Should you wish to do more, a gondola ride or sightseeing cruise on the lagoon are payable locally. Return to the coach on private motorboat, passing St. George’s Island, home to one of the architectural glories of Venice – the majestic Church of San Giorgio Maggiore.
This morning, you will be picked up by your coach and taken to Verona, the setting for Shakespeare’s romantic tragedy, Romeo and Juliet. Standing on the banks of the River Adige, Verona is a city rich in history, art and architecture. Today you will enjoy a guided visit with an official city tour guide, where you you’ll see the famous Arena, renowned for its opera, Juliet’s balcony and other key sights along the way. You will have time to stop off for some lunch and explore the city as you wish, for the afternoon. After, return to your hotel by coach.
We suggest making the most of your 4 star hotel and its fantastic facilities today. Relax and unwind by the newly built, modern swimming pool. You'll find space to lounge on the comfortable sun beds, with sun umbrellas available if you prefer a little shade. For an extra spot of indulgence, the hot tub provides the perfect setting to truly relax in the Lake Garda sunshine.
Today you will bid farewell to your hotel and board the coach to return to Verona airport. Your Resort Manager will greet you on your transfer and will accompany you to the airport to ensure you have everything you need.
This property is offered on a Half Board basis. Welcome Drink Included.
