Let the adventure begin! Your first stop? Salem, the site of the notorious 17th century witch trials. We will continue along the coast, making a pit stop en route to Portland, to admire the Cape Neddick Lighthouse, aka the most photographed lighthouse in America. Onwards we go to Kennebunkport, home to spectacular palatial estates, one of which is owned by George Bush Snr! Tonight, you will stay at the Best Western Merry Manor Inn.

En route to our next stop, Bar Harbour, we will pass through chocolate box fishing villages, which ooze that unique New England charm. On arrival to the picturesque Maine town of Bar Harbour, you have the option to join us for a traditional lobster dinner.

Inland we go, towards the breathtaking terrain of the White Mountains. We will stay tonight in the Lodge at Bretton Woods, located in the heart of the picture-perfect White Mountain National Forest.

Today, we venture through the White Mountains, passing spectacular forest and open meadow landscape. We will stop off at the Vermont town of Stowe. This wonderfully quaint town is steeped in 200 years of fascinating history. We will end our day in the Green Mountains, where you will stay at the Best Western Rutland tonight.

From Vermont to Rhode Island we go, where we’ll stop in Newport. Considered a jewel in the shining crown of New England’s coast, this city is home to spectacular coastline and awe-inspiring architecture, including the famous Gilded Age mansions, which were once the summer playgrounds for America’s social elite. This evening, you have the opportunity to taste the real New England, with a classic clam bake, after which you can retire to your hotel, Holiday Inn Express Middletown.

Our next port of call is the picturesque and unspoilt beauty of Cape Cod, home to miles of pristine beach, boutique shops, museums and galleries. Here you will stay at the Heritage House Hyannis.

Today, we hop on the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. A celebrity summer haunt for decades – thanks to its picture perfect beaches, gingerbread cottages, and fantastic farmers’ markets – Martha’s Vineyard is your quintessential New England town. We will return to Cape Cod, where you will stay at the Heritage House Hyannis one more time.

Our last tour day will begin with a visit to Plymouth, the first place English colonists settled on arrival to the New World! See Plymouth Rock where, according to tradition, the passengers of the Mayflower first set foot. Visit Plymouth Harbour and the Mayflower replica. En route back to Boston, we will retrace the steps of the Freedom Trail, which may include a stroll beside Boston Common, King’s Chapel and numerous pubs and taverns where America’s Founding Fathers toasted to freedom. Why not top your last full day in Boston off with an authentic New England Clam Chowder! Your last night will see you stay at the Four Points Sheraton Boston Airport.
