Your Holiday Itinerary

Day1 Barcelona, Spain

Today you will fly to Barcelona and be transferred to your port. Step on board your magnificent cruise ship and luxurious accommodation for the next week and make yourself at home in your beautiful and elegant room. From the moment you arrive to the very moment you leave you will experience service and facilities like nothing you've ever experienced. The Silversea's Silver Spirit is the cruise ship that dreams are made of.

Day2 Porto Mahon, Spain

Today you will visit the capital of the Spanish island of Menorca, Mahón. The first thing that will strike you here is the beautiful crystal clear, azure waters and the sun-bleached sands that make you feel like you’re in a little slice of paradise. These beautiful sights are typical of Menorca and although nearby to Mallorca and Ibiza are nearby, Mahón is slightly more laid back. It is known for its British- style Georgian houses and its beautiful sheltered harbour and is an absolute treat to lazily amble around.

Day3 Alghero, Italy

A tourist-friendly town of about 45,000 inhabitants with a distinctly Spanish flavor, Alghero is also known as "Barcelonetta" (little Barcelona). Rich wrought-iron scrollwork decorates balconies and screened windows; a Spanish motif appears in stone portals and bell towers. The town was built and inhabited in the 14th century by the Aragonese and Catalans, who constructed seaside ramparts and sturdy towers encompassing an inviting nucleus of narrow, winding streets with whitewashed palazzi.

Day4 Cagliari, Italy

Your next stop is the capital of the Italian island of Sardinia, Cagliari. It is best known for its Castello which is perched on a hilltop, high above the rest of the town and showcases the history that this city is steeped in. The medieval quarter and the 13th century Cagliari Cathedral are host to a wealth of history waiting to be explored and the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Cagliari is home to some impressive bronze objects, Roman ceramics and artifacts from the Nuragic age to the Byzantine era. If history is not your thing, make like the locals and relax at one of the many busy cafes lining the seafront and enjoy a laid back pace, while enjoying some world class coffee.

Day5 Sicily, Italy

As German writer, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe so aptly put it: "To have seen Italy without having seen Sicily is not to have seen Italy at all, for Sicily is the clue to everything". From the subtle scent of lemon trees that fills the balmy air and the rich history that envelops the island to the sincere warmth of its natives and the distinctly delicious cuisine, for which Sicily is famous, this enchanting island really needs to be seen to be believed. Although part of Italy, Sicily the largest of the Mediterranean islands, has its own unique and fascinating culture and charm. Separated from the mainland by the Straits of Messina, 3km away, at one time or another it was ruled by the Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Normans and Spanish, all of whom have left their mark on the island with its unique blend of monuments, traditions and warm hospitality.

Day6 Sorrento, Italy

Set on a spectacular headland, Sorrento is located on one of the most magnificent coastlines in Italy, with breathtaking views sweeping across the Bay of Naples. It is both an ideal base from which to explore the main sights of the Neapolitan region and an enchanting town in its own right. You'll be struck by the beauty of its winding, cobblestoned streets giving way to elegant piazzas where pretty little pavement cafes invite you to sit awhile, sip a coffee, admire the spectacular views sweeping across the Bay of Naples, and enjoy a taste of la dolce vita, Sorrento style. In the evenings, life tends to centre round the main square, Piazza Tasso, where good value, high quality restaurants abound and there are lovely pavement cafes from where you can watch the town come alive.

Day7-8 Rome, Italy

You will return to Rome today where you will stay for 2 nights and have some time to explore. In the very heart of the eternal city, the 5 star Ambasciatori Palace Hotel is classic and elegant and is just a ten minute walk from the Trevi Fountain so you’ll be based close enough to explore all the cities top tourist spots.

With two and a half thousand years of history, art and culture, it is no wonder Rome is one of the most visited cities on the planet, so make the most of your timehere! Gaze at the masterpieces of the Vatican or walk into the past with visits to ancient relics, historic monuments and legendary museums. Take the Hop on, Hop off bus tour to ensure that you are taking in all that the city has to offer.

Day9 Return Home

Today you will be transferred to the airport and will fly back to Dublin with a wealth of wonderful memories to treasure.
