Your Holiday Itinerary
Day1 Fly to Rome
Welcome to the Eternal City! On arrival to the airport, you will be transferred to Italy’s vibrant capital, where you will stay overnight in the elegant five star Bernini Bristol hotel. Conveniently located on Piazza Barberini, you can peruse the various bars and restaurants nearby or take the 10-minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps.
Day2 Monte Carlo
This morning, you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to your embarkation point. Your journey will continue towards the playground of the rich and famous – Monte Carlo. On one of the best stretches of the Mediterranean, this classic luxury destination is one of the most sought-after addresses in the world.
Located in the centre of the harbour, the Grand Casino is a must-see, if only for its interiors, which are the epitome of opulence. Marvel at the magnificent yacht, wander the beautiful boutiques, and visit one of the many cafés for a coffee and a spot of people watching.
Day3 Marseille
The second largest city in France, Marseille is among the most beautiful and historic cities on the Mediterranean. Today you are free to explore this bustling port city in whatever way you choose; Marseille is your oyster! Le Vieux Port is a great spot to sit down and watch the hustle bustle of Marseille life, or indeed, watch the fishermen sell their fare at the morning fish market. Have a wander around Le Panier, Marseille’s old town, which is filled with magical, meandering cobblestoned streets lined with dainty cafés, eateries and shops. For those preferring a more historical experience, Topflight recommends visiting the Basilique Notre Dame de la Garde, the Romano-Byzantine basilica perched on the city’s highest hill, La Garde.
Day4 Livorno
Today you will arrive in Livorno where you can get to know the surrounds of the port city in your own time. If you fancy taking a trip further out, why not head to Florence? An hour and a half bus journey from Livorno, Florence is a walker’s paradise – the entire city can be found on foot. Pisa is also close to Livorno (a short bus journey) and will not disappoint. The Leaning Tower made Pisa famous, but this pretty city offers, thanks to its wealth of history, culture and delicious food.
Day5 Day tour of Rome and departure to Dublin
You will port for the last time in Rome. Before you are transferred back to the airport, you will have an opportunity to discover the Eternal City with a private city tour.
