Fly direct to Pisa from your chosen airport, from which you will make your way into Pisa city centre to your 4 star hotel. Why not visit the Leaning tower of Pisa, take in the fantastic Tuscan cuisine, or simply relax before heading onto your next destination the following day?
Upon your arrival at Pisa Centrale station, you will board your train to the beautiful city of Lucca. Here, you will take in the sights of this stunning walled city as you make your way to your 4 star hotel. Be sure to visit the old Roman Amphitheatre, where you’ll find many fantastic restaurants and shops surrounding its edges, leaving the centre free for a range of concerts and events during the summer months.
Board your train from Lucca and begin your journey to the city of masterpieces, Florence. Famous for its Renaissance art and architecture, this exquisite city is yours to explore for the next 2 nights. You will stay at a 4 star hotel in central Florence, making it possible to visit the Duomo, Michelangelo’s ‘David’ and Florence’s many other cultural and historical gems, with ease.
Your final train journey will be from Florence to Venice. You will travel first class with drinks and snacks included before arriving to Venice where your transfer awaits to take you to the cruise port. Board your ship and get ready to sail the Mediterranean Sea, taking in some of the most beautiful destinations around the Greek Isles.
Today we will dock at the dreamy Kotor, Montenegro's fascinating medieval city. The stunning mountains surrounding the sapphire seas and the historic old town guaranteed this wonderful destination a UNESCO World Heritage status. Take in the the breathtaking views over the peaceful Adriatic, or even dive into adventure and swim, snorkel and kayak to explore the fascinating sea life. For bird watchers, pelicans and flamingos are some of Montenegro's other hidden treasures.
Today you will arrive to the glorious island of Corfu. Prepare for scenery so beautiful and an atmosphere so pleasing, you may never want to return to the ship! What to do today? We suggest hopping on the shuttle bus, or taking the 20-minute scenic route via the seafront, both of which will take you to the heart of Corfu. Amble the narrow streets that wind their way throughout the historic town center, peruse the quaint boutiques, visit one of the many museums, or simply head to Spianada Square, pull up a chair, order a drink, and watch the world go by.
Piraeus is located just ten kilometres away from central Athens, the heart of Ancient Greece. This city provides a whirlwind of fascinating and interesting sites to behold. Dominated by 5th-century BC landmarks, including wonders like the Acropolis and the Parthenon. This place is a history lover's dream but it's not just the history buffs that will be inspired and impressed by this palpable historic grandeur. However, Athens also has a lively urban atmosphere and has a certain youthful energy to it. There are a wealth of wonderful open-air restaurants and bars to allow you to enjoy a relaxing laid back pace that the Athenians adopt.
You will get a chance to experience the glamorous resort of Mykonos today. This will give you a true flavour of what the Cyclades islands are really like, with their traditional, whitewashed architecture and maze of narrow streets. There's plenty to see and do during your day of exploration in Mykonos. You can't visit without venturing to one of its beautiful beaches. We advise hopping in a taxi and taking the twenty minute trip to the southern – and ultra picturesque – Super Paradise beach.
Today you will have the opportunity to explore the wonderful Argostoli, a picturesque city which was devastated by an earthquake in 1953. But the signs of this are hard to come upon. The are is full of treasures including a wonderful 12th century Byzantine cathedral and beautiful 16th century frescoes. And the nearby underground Lake of Melissani is simply magical. Enter the caves to find ancient stalactites, and marvel at the scattered rays of light beaming through, turning the water an intense blue.
Today you will have time to spend as you wish on board your cruise ship, discovering all of its fantastic facilities. With so much to do, so many places to eat and drink and so many ways to unwind, you'll find that on your cruise holiday, the journey is just as enjoyable as exploring the destination.
