Piraeus is located just ten kilometres away from central Athens, the heart of Ancient Greece. This city provides a whirlwind of fascinating and interesting sites to behold. Dominated by 5th-century BC landmarks, including wonders like the Acropolis and the Parthenon. This place is a history lover's dream but it's not just the history buffs that will be inspired and impressed by this palpable historic grandeur. However, Athens also has a lively urban atmosphere and has a certain youthful energy to it. There are a wealth of wonderful open-air restaurants and bars to allow you to enjoy a relaxing laid back pace that the Athenians adopt.
Today, you will have two stops. First, Turkey's Western Aegean Coastline, at the wonderful beach resort town of Kusadasi. You will get a chance to experience the glamorous resort of Mykonos today. We advise hopping in a taxi and taking the twenty minute trip to the southern – and ultra picturesque – Super Paradise beach.
Today you will have the opportunity to explore the wonderful Argostoli, a picturesque city which was devastated by an earthquake in 1953. But the signs of this are hard to come upon.
