This cruise takes you to some of the most beautiful locations around Italy, Croatia and the Greek Isles. And on board the MSC Sinfonia you will enjoy getting there as much as exploring each wonderful destination.
The most romantic city in the world, the floating city of Venice is one of epic grandeur. Take a gondola ride down the Grand Canal and gaze upon the glorious Venetian architecture lining its banks. Built on a lagoon, this city will surely amaze you. Stroll along the Bridge of Sighs, explore the range of historic sights and wind down with a coffee or a glass of prosecco in the popular St. Mark's Square. Venice has been attracting poets and artists for many years. It is one of Italy's finest cities with a truly inspiring atmosphere.
Split is a wonderful town of Croatia's Dalmatian Coast, well known for its beaches and historical centre. It boasts a wonderful juxtaposition of traditional and modern, with its fortresslike complex erected by the Roman emperor in the 4th century and thriving scene where restaurants, bars and shops create a young and exciting atmosphere. Split's contrasts don't stop there though. Dramatic coastal mountains provide a beautiful backdrop to the bustling town and the azure waters of the Adriatic contrast with the historical buildings.
Today you will have time to spend as you wish on board your cruise ship, discovering all of its fantastic facilities. With so much to do, so many places to eat and drink and so many ways to unwind, you’ll find that on your cruise holiday, the journey is just as enjoyable as exploring the destination.
This Greek idyll will leave you in awe with its multicoloured cliffs, whitewashed houses and stunning views across the sparkling Mediterranean sea. Once you arrive on terra firma, you'll have two ways of venturing up to the town of Fira: on the cable cars or on a donkey. Yes, a donkey! Fira, the island's capital is full of small, winding streets filled with shops, bars and restaurants. 1500bc is a great little spot for something to eat. Sit out on the patio, order a crisp wine, and get stuck into some of the most divine seafood you'll ever try!
You will get a chance to experience the glamorous resort of Mykonos today. This will give you a true flavour of what the Cyclades islands are really like, with their traditional, whitewashed architecture and maze of narrow streets. There's plenty to see and do during your day of exploration in Mykonos. You can't visit without venturing to one of its beautiful beaches. We advise hopping in a taxi and taking the twenty minute trip to the southern – and ultra picturesque – Super Paradise beach.
Arrive in the walled city of Dubrovnik, Croatia's most popular cruise destination. This unique medieval town will leave you in awe. Stroll through the shaded Old Town, a ten minute drive from the port and get a feel for the city's rich history with its opulent baroque buildings. Set off and explore beautiful quaint boutiques, friendly bars and fabulous restaurants as well as taking in the spectacular views over the ocean as you walk through this beautiful city. Or take it easy and relax by soaking up the sun and the sea air on the beautiful beaches. Cliff side cafés are dotted along the coast line, so after a dip in the sparkling Adriatic sea, you can take a break in one of these charming hangouts.
Ancona is a city on Italy's Adriatic coast and the capital of the Marche region. It's known for its beaches, such as Passetto Beach, and the hilltop Cathedral of San Ciriaco. In the city center, the Fontana del Calamo is a fountain with bronze masks of mythic figures. In the port are the ancient Arch of Trajan and the Lazzaretto, or Mole Vanvitelliana, an 18th-century pentagonal quarantine station on its own island.
The largest of the Italian lakes, Lake Garda enjoys a sheltered position and a warm, balmy climate - a seductive combination for a relaxing holiday. Beautiful towns and villages hug the lake shore, all with their own unique charm and breathtaking scenery. Framed by the Dolomite Mountains, the landscape is rich and diverse, from the dramatic mountainous backdrops of the northern villages to the pretty promenades along the southern shores. The heady scent of lemons in the air is as tantalising as the towns and villages of Lake Garda are beautiful. Not surprisingly given the expanse of water in the region, sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, rowing and kayaking are hugely popular here.
