Take a journey on board the amazing Celebrity Edge and experience the very best of the Mediterranean along the way. You will visit some of the most beautiful places in all of the Mediterranean, all while enjoying the fantastic and luxurious facilities that your ship has to offer on the way.

Your Holiday Itinerary

Day1 Rome, Italy

Today you will fly to Rome where you will be transferred to the port and board the fabulous Celebrity Edge. High quality service, luxury at every turn and first rate entertainment and dining await you on board.

Day2 Sicily, Italy

As German writer, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe so aptly put it: "To have seen Italy without having seen Sicily is not to have seen Italy at all, for Sicily is the clue to everything". From the subtle scent of lemon trees that fills the balmy air and the rich history that envelops the island to the sincere warmth of its natives and the distinctly delicious cuisine, for which Sicily is famous, this enchanting island really needs to be seen to be believed. Although part of Italy, Sicily the largest of the Mediterranean islands, has its own unique and fascinating culture and charm. Separated from the mainland by the Straits of Messina, 3km away, at one time or another it was ruled by the Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Normans and Spanish, all of whom have left their mark on the island with its unique blend of monuments, traditions and warm hospitality.

Day3 Valletta, Malta

Today will see you arrive in the historic city of Valletta. The city center is located a ten minute walk from the cruise port, and is chock-full of impressive sights and historic landmarks. Feast your eyes upon the City Gate, Parliament Building and Opera House, or take some time to enjoy its beautiful beaches and seaside restaurants.

Day4 At Sea

Today you will have time to spend as you wish on board your cruise ship, discovering all of its fantastic facilities. With so much to do, so many places to eat and drink and so many ways to unwind, you’ll find that on your cruise holiday, the journey is just as enjoyable as exploring the destination.

Day5 Santorini, Greece

This Greek idyll will leave you in awe with its multicoloured cliffs, whitewashed houses and stunning views across the sparkling Mediterranean sea. Once you arrive on terra firma, you’ll have two ways of venturing up to the town of Fira: on the cable cars or on a donkey. Yes, a donkey! Fira, the island’s capital is full of small, winding streets filled with shops, bars and restaurants. 1500bc is a great little spot for something to eat. Sit out on the patio, order a crisp wine, and get stuck into some of the most divine seafood you’ll ever try!

Day6 Athens, Greece

Piraeus is located just ten kilometres away from central Athens, the heart of Ancient Greece. This city provides a whirlwind of fascinating and interesting sites to behold. Dominated by 5th-century BC landmarks, including wonders like the Acropolis and the Parthenon. This place is a history lover’s dream but it’s not just the history buffs that will be inspired and impressed by this palpable historic grandeur. However, Athens also has a lively urban atmosphere and has a certain youthful energy to it. There are a wealth of wonderful open-air restaurants and bars to allow you to enjoy a relaxing laid back pace that the Athenians adopt.

Day7 Mykonos, Greece

You will get a chance to experience the glamorous resort of Mykonos today. This will give you a true flavour of what the Cyclades islands are really like, with their traditional, whitewashed architecture and maze of narrow streets. There’s plenty to see and do during your day of exploration in Mykonos. You can’t visit without venturing to one of its beautiful beaches. We advise hopping in a taxi and taking the twenty minute trip to the southern – and ultra picturesque – Super Paradise beach.

Day8 Nauplion, Greece

An important seaport since the Middle Ages, Nauplion has retained its Medieval charm in its ancient walls, monuments, and castles and the town is an ideal base from which to explore many nearby ancient sites. One of Greece’s prettiest towns, it is populated with attractive narrow streets, elegant Venetian houses and interesting museums. Take a stroll around and perhaps stop at one of the many quayside cafes or persue one of its lovely boutiques.

Day9 Katakolon, Greece

You will dock at Katakolon today, a tiny seaside town in Greece. There are plenty of waterfront cafés and restaurants to relax in and pass the time in the sunshine but the real draw is the fascinating site of the first Olympic Games in 776 BC. The train station is just a five minute walk from the port and it will take you to the site in around 45 minutes. This is a history lover’s dream but the ancient and archaeologically impressive town of Olympia, is sure to amaze just about anyone who visits.

Day10 At Sea

On your final full day at sea, this is your opportunity to relax and unwind to ensure that you return from this cruise adventure fresh and revived and full of interesting tales of your travels. Indulge in a visit to the ship’s spa area, book yourself in for a massage, or simply lounge on the deck with a cool drink in hand. Whatever way you decide to get in some r&r on board, you’re sure to feel well rested by the time you reach the next exciting port of call.

Day11 Naples, Italy

Cruise to Naples, located on Italy's stunning Amalfi coast, a city rich in history. There are plenty of things to do in Naples for the adventurous and not so adventurous wanderer. If you feel like staying close, Naples grand piazzas, cathedrals and castles will keep you thoroughly entertained. It is also highly recommended to hop on the train at Napoli Centrale station, and take the 30-minute trip to the historical wonder that is the ancient city of Pompeii! This huge archaeological site, once a sophisticated Roman city, was preserved under ash and pumice after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Visitors can explore and walk the streets just as the romans did.

Day12-13 Rome, Italy

Today you will return to Rome where you will have two days to spend exploring.

The Hotel Villa Glori is a quaint hotel which offers great accessibility to the historical sights of the Eternal City as it is a close to Piazza del Popolo, where easy access to the subway will make it easy to see the sights. With two and a half thousand years of history, art and culture, it is no wonder Rome is one of the most visited cities on the planet, so make the most of your time here! Gaze at the masterpieces of the Vatican or walk into the past with visits to ancient relics, historic monuments and legendary museums. Take the Hop on, Hop off bus tour to ensure that you are taking in all that the city has to offer.

Day14 Return Home

Today you will be transferred to the airport and will fly back to Dublin with a wealth of wonderful memories to treasure.
