Your holiday itinerary
Day 1: Dublin-Funchal
Depart Dublin on a direct flight to Funchal airport where you will be met by Topflight’s representative. You will be transferred by luxury air conditioned coach to 5* Hotel Melia Madeira Mare, a beautiful resort and spa hotel where you will stay for 7 nights on a Bed and Breakfast basis.
Day 2-7: Discover Madeira
Your holiday in the Portuguese island of Madeira is based close to the capital, Funchal, where you will find places of great historic and cultural interest, not to mention a wealth of restaurants, cafés, bars and shops. It also includes three escorted excursions which have been carefully selected to ensure you experience the very best the island has to offer. Excursion days will be confirmed on arrival but include the following:
Eira do Serrado (Half Day)
Visit the beautiful Botanical Gardens (entrance fee included) and one of the area’s famous embroidery factories.
Porto Moniz (Full Day)
This is a wonderful island tour, taking in Cabo Girao, the world’s second highest sea cliff and the village of Ribeira Brava as we head further west through spectacular scenery to Porto Moniz, well known for its natural swimming pools.
Typical Folklore Evening
Enjoy dinner at a typical Madeiran restaurant with traditional music, song and dancing - a night to remember!
At Your Leisure
The days your three excursions take place will be arranged to allow you plenty of time to relax and explore this beautiful island at your own pace. Take in the sights and sounds of its stunning hillside walks, two magnificent golf courses, unspoilt villages with traditional whitewashed houses, glorious gardens, excellent restaurants and great shopping. You can sample the delicious local Madeira cake and wine and don’t miss a ride on the local Monte Toboggan - an experience to remember! Throughout your stay, you can enjoy all the amenities of the five-star Hotel Melia Madeira Mare with its swimming pool and sun terrace overlooking the sea, a choice of dining options, impressive wellness facilities and luxuriously appointed guest rooms.
Day 8: Funchal-Dublin
At the end of your stay you will be transferred to Funchal airport for your return flight to Dublin.
