Puerto del Carmen
The main tourist resort on the island, Puerto del Carmen has a 4km sandy beach, an attractive promenade, golf course and plenty of shops. Nightlife is lively, with a wide variety of clubs, bars and discos offering every opportunity to party the night away.

Matagorda
Just 2km from Puerto del Carmen, Matagorda is a quiet, purpose-built resort with an gentle, relaxed pace of life. It has its own sandy beach and a selection of shops, bars and restaurants.

Playa Blanca
Playa Blanca is a flourishing resort with a coastal walk stretching from the resort centre with its many shops, bars and restaurants to a beautiful, upmarket Marina Rubicon with a further selection of designer shops, trendy bars and restaurants. It is a 20 minute drive from Puerto del Carmen and a 40 minute ferry crossing from the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura.

Costa Teguise
This is a purpose-built resort with a bustling centre and sandy beaches. The promenade connects the Sands Beach villas to the resort centre with the 18-hole championship golf course and Aquapark 5 minutes’ drive away. Playa de Los Pocillos
Situated between Matagorda and Puerto del Carmen, this resort offers a quiet, relaxing ambience, gently shelving beach and a small selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Approximate transfer time from Arrecife: 10 minutes

The unit of currency is the Euro. Banks are usually open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 2.00pm
