About Lake Garda
The largest of the Italian lakes, Lake Garda lies between the Alps and the Dolomites. Clear blue waters lap its wide shoreline where visitors can enjoy a host of watersports including swimmimg, sailing and boat trips. Dotted along Garda's lake shore are dozens of picturesque towns and villages, steeped in history. The landscape is spectacular, with its brilliant blooms, olive groves and magnificent villas. Riva: The principal resort on the northern shore of Lake Garda, Riva is known for its Venetian castle, museums and art galleries. Watersports are very popular. Approximate transfer time from airport: 2hrs Torbole: A great sailing and windsurfing destination, Torbole is a pretty town with spectacular views of the lake. Approx. transfer time from airport: 2hrs Malcesine: "The Botanical Garden of Europe" lies at the foot of Mount Baldo with its cobblestoned streets leading to the lakefront. It is a charming town on Garda’s eastern shore. Bank opening hours vary , but are generally open from Monday to Friday between 8.30am to 1.15pm and 2.30 to 3.45pm..
Food
Bustling restaurants, Italian hospitality and excellent cuisine make every meal a culinary delight. Pizzas start from €5 and a three-course meal from €12. Lunch is usually served from 12.30 to 2pm and dinner from 8 to 10pm.
Drink
Beer and wine are generally cheaper than in Ireland. Spirits, coffee and tea prices are comparable to Ireland.

Italian is the native language. English is widely understood.
