With Rugby Sevens featuring in the 2016 Olympics for the first time, this event - which is approved by Munster Branch I.R.F.U. and hosted by Crescent College Comprehensive – is a first for Ireland and an opportunity to plan for the future with the new crop of youth players coming through for 2016. Michael Sherry, Chairman of the Munster Branch Age Grade Committee welcomed the event. “We are delighted with the initiative of Crescent College Comprehensive and Topflight Sports for Schools in bringing this event to Limerick. Sevens rugby is very much a growing part of the game at international level, and I am particularly pleased to see an event like this dedicated to schools at sevens level”.
