The special attraction of Walvis Bay, the tourism activity centre of Namibia, is the huge natural lagoon with its overwhelming abundance of seabirds, innumerable flamingos and pelicans. Jamestown in St Helena can only be reached by ship so for some it may be a once in a lifetime opportunity to explore this tiny island, only 10.5miles in length and 6.5miles wide. Jamestown has some examples of British Georgian era colonial architecture and is proposed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dakar is a major administrative centre home to the National Assembly of Senegal and Senegal's President's Palace. Docking in Cadiz, one of Europe’s oldest cities will give those sea legs a stretch as you explore this architectural masterpiece.
