Pompeii
About 30km south of Naples lie the preserved ruins of Pompeii, destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79AD. A visit to Pompeii is a fascinating glimpse into history. You can also visit Mount Vesuvius and peer into the crater.
13th Century Duomo
Dedicated to San Gennaro, this cathedral holds two phials of the saint’s blood which are said to liquefy on certain dates!
Ischia and Capri
These beautiful islands lie off the coast and they are easily accessible by hydrofoil ferry each day from Naples.
