and even fit in a wine-tasting trip in the Tuscan countryside
Day 1: Dublin-Bologna
Fly from Dublin to Bologna airport where
you will be met by Topflight’s
representative. You will be transferred by
coach to 3* Hotel Venezia in Marina di Pietresanta where you will
stay for 7 nights on a Half Board basis.
Day 2: Marina di Pietresanta
Today you are free to explore the town of
Marina di Pietresanta on the Tuscan
Coast. Relax on the beach and get
acquainted with the area, just strolling in
the pine woods and enjoying the
promenade or spending a lazy afternoon
by the hotel swimming pool.
Day 3: Florence
Enjoy a scenic coach drive to Florence,
the cradle of Renaissance and one of the
most visited art cities in the world for its
beauty, history and treasures of art. See
the city’s important sights during a
pleasant guided walking tour lasting
approx 2.5 hours. In the afternoon you
are free to enjoy the lively city centre.
Before leaving Florence, the coach will
lead us to Michelangelo Square
dominated by the Statue of David.
Day 4: Marina di Pietresanta
Explore the town at your own pace, or
just relax and enjoy the amenities of
Hotel Venezia.
If you wish, you may take an optional full
day excursion ‘Jewels of Stone’ (€99,
payable to your representative in resort).
Day 5: Lucca and Montecarlo
Today we visit the ancient walled town of
Lucca. Following a guided tour of the
city, you have time to stroll through the
historic centre at your leisure. In the
afternoon we visit a vineyard where you
will have the opportunity to sample the
local wine and snacks. Then we visit the
beautiful medieval hilltop village of
Montecarlo before returning to the hotel.
Day 6: Pisa and Volterra
After breakfast we depart by coach for
the town of Pisa where you will see the
famous leaning tower, cathedral and
baptistry. In the afternoon we take a
scenic drive to the Roman and Etruscan
town of Volterra in the Pisan countryside.
Day 7: Marina di Pietresanta
Relax on your last full day in this coastal
resort, or you may take an optional extra
tour of the Gulf of Poets in Liguria (€80,
payable to your representative in resort).
Day 8: Bologna-Dublin
Transfer to Bologna Airport for your
return flight to Dublin.
