Today FM Topflight Ski Trip 2009!

The
Today FM Topflight Ski Trip, which plans to celebrate an incredible
10th year with the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show on 100-102 Today FM, is
heading back to Austria, this time to the resort of Saalbach, one of
Austria’s best and most sophisticated ski resorts.
The trip
which last winter had 420 participants is a fun filled week of ski and
craic and has become a unique event on the skiing calendar in Ireland.
Saalbach,the
chosen resort for these 10th Anniversary celebrations, is less than 2
hours from Salzburg Airport and is a chic resort which over 200kms of
skiing in the Saalbach Hinterglemm valley – known as the Ski Circus -
as well as great après ski and superb hotels.
Saalbach itself
is an excellent choice for beginners, intermediates and advanced
skiers, as well as having over 12kms of snowboard only piste - making
it an ideal choice for the trip.
The line up for the week
includes a full week’s skiing, with some challenges and ski guiding for
the better skiers as well as events in the great après ski bars in the
area, and some other challenges.
Over the years the trip has
been to Andorra, France and Austria – Saalbach, Westendorf, St.Johann,
and for the last 2 years – Bad Gastein. Each year the trip has grown in
size. And what has changed dramatically over the years is the skiing
ability of the Irish – as more and more Irish people take to the slopes
and become proficient skiers.

broadcasting live from the slopes from Monday 2nd February for 5 days

Ian – himself
celebrating 10 years on the Breakfast Show in Today FM – will bring his
crew on the trip for the week, with live broadcasts every day from the
slopes, as well as hosting some après ski events, including the Today
FM party night.
The trip is supported by the Ski Club of
Ireland, who are hosting a Ski Day before the trip – as well as Great
Outdoors who are providing vouchers to everyone and discounts on all
their ski gear.
Participants on the trip can choose from a
variety of accommodation on the trip which starts at €799 plus taxes
for accommodation including transfers, flights and rep services to
Salzburg from a choice of Dublin, Cork, and Ireland West Knock. Ski
Packs, taxes and Insurance are extra. The choice of accommodation
includes self catering, B&B accommodation and 3, 4 and 4 Star plus
hotels.
